I wanted to give you a little background on who I am.

My degree is in journalism and broadcasting from New York Institute of Technology. I've been actively taking photos and developing since the age of 12. I worked for 20 years as a  research engineer and photographer at the University of Texas at Austin. Prior to that I  worked for ABC news as a cameraman. I've photographed in places from Bangkok to Budapest and Uzbekistan to NASA launch control. I have an intimate understanding of modern photographic technology, and several decades of professional experience in image acquisition. Recently, my wife and I have re-located to Hot Springs, Arkansas.

At the University of Texas, I covered scores of seminars, presentations, awards ceremonies and the like. I've had the opportunity to photograph heads of state, the corporate elite and popular figures from the world over. It was a great experience which I will never forget! With ABC, I was out in the field covering breaking news - which never gets dull. I can tell you that running a camera while hanging out of a door-less helicopter at 2000 ft - is unforgettable.

My main focus for several years now has been portraiture. I realized long ago that people are the most interesting thing to take pictures of. There are no two alike, and catching who they really are - is a challenge I love.

My wife and I work together and really enjoy working with people (especially at weddings). We believe in the institution and get great satisfaction from being involved positively in the ceremony of marriage.

Lets talk about digital photography.

The most interesting new development which affects electronic media is digital technology. Until just now, digital cameras were more of a novelty than a reality. Professional photographers took a dim view of the new cameras -which could not really compete with traditional film images. Recently the top manufacturers have released new commercial-grade digital cameras which, although very expensive, do produce absolutely stunning images. This breakthrough has for the first time allowed us working photographers to offer photo packages which give you more beautiful pictures, web-based proof-sheets and slideshows, CDrom archiving of all images, DVD's and albums full of gorgeous photos -at 40%-50% less than traditional film printing. With Digital, each shot is given total personal attention after the shoot.

I can also provide your own web-site with hundreds of images available for your family to see anywhere in the world! You can even choose your own web address if you like. You will have several CDrom copies of all the master images - so that you may re-print any of them for the next 100 years. Yes, you own all the images. As well, I now provide DVD disks with beautiful slideshows and music which can be sent to family world-wide.

I also do photo-restoration of treasured family photos or historical documents. With the latest digital "power-tools" and broad knowledge of photographic technique, true miracles can be done in restoration.
